Born and raised in France, I’ve been cooking from scratch all my life. There’s something about homemade dishes that is such a delight to me. You can put the most elaborate patisserie in front of me and a simple homemade cake, I will go for the homemade goodie 99% of the time! I just love the rustic feel, the warmth and comfort that brings me back to my youth in the French countryside. Clafoutis is one of those desserts that screams comfort and goodness to me!

Blueberry clafoutis
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven at 400° F - Line up your dish with parchment paper (or butter it) and add the blueberries.
  2. Warm up the milk with the butter until the butter is all melted. You can do it in the microwave for about 7 minutes. Add the vanilla extract.
  3. In a mixing bowl add the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the eggs and the warm milk/butter. Whisk well until smooth. Add the liquor of your choice.
  4. Pour the batter over the blueberries and bake for about 45 minutes or until deep golden brown. Stick a knife in the middle of the clafoutis to determine doneness . The knife should come out clean.
