Zucchini tatins de courgette

Did you know you can make tatins with anything? Really! It can be savory or sweet. I was looking for an elegant side dish for my dinner and I found it! Zucchini Tatins are the most elegant and the easiest side dish ever!

I can guarantee that if you have a dinner party, you will look like the most talented chef with those tatins! The most difficult part, if you can call it difficult, is to place the zucchini slices in a flower shape. Don’t forget to add one in the middle!

The honey gives the tatins a sweet taste and helps caramelize the slices when you pre-bake them. Make sure to line your pans with parchment paper if you are using pans with removable bottoms!

I like them with only thyme sprinkled on them but you can add some crumble goat cheese or some fig jam for added sweetness. Bon appétit!

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 °F/200 °C. Take one of the tart pans and cut out each pastry.
  2. Arrange the zucchini slices like flower petals in your tart pans. Sprinkle each tart with 1 tbsp of honey and bake for 15 minutes.
  3. Cover each tart with the puff pastry and cook for about 25 minutes until the pastry is cooked and golden brown. Invert each tatin on a plate, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and dried thyme and serve.
