Don’t you love it when a recipe feels luxurious and yet, is economical? I do! When I make my Crab Quiche, it looks and tastes like a very expensive dish but because I use canned crab meat, its cost is very affordable.
I love quiches because it’s simple to make. For this one, aside from the crust, you only need a few ingredients that will not only add flavor but also add a burst of color.
Cream, eggs, green onions, crab meat and cheese are all you need. You can add whatever cheese you fancy, but I think that the nuttiness of the gruyère is perfect for the crab.
Quiches always make for great meal. Once you have your favorite crust recipe (mine’s here), you’re in business. And you eat it with a bowl of soup during the cold weather months or pair it with a salad when the days are warmer.
I like to pair that particular quiche with a light salad with a lemon vinaigrette. Lemons always go well with seafood. It will not overpower the crab taste and lighten up the meal so that you’ll have room for seconds! Yes!!! You can click on the picture for the recipe! ⇩ or ➪
When I made it, my daughter got 3 servings! Yes, granted she’s only 14 and a growing girl, to me, this is proof that this quiche is light and delicious!😋
