This tart comes from the north east of France, Lorraine to be precise (closer to Germany - hence the German sounding name) and gets its name from the fact that it was directly baked in the stone oven, literally "licked by the flames".
Zucchini has become over the years one of my favorite vegetables. So much so that two years ago, we decided to grow vegetables during the summer. That was our first pass at it, and it was pretty encouraging. That year we "successfully" grew tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchinis. And because we are not really gardeners, we kind of forgot that we needed to tend to our vegetables every day.
Sometimes, during the weekend I just want to be lazy, sleeping longer than usual and enjoying my time in bed, reading a good magazine while listening to music. And then, I get hungry, but it's pretty close to lunch time. So it's time to whip up a good brunch!
